Become A Channel Islands Fan this year!

Millions of people live their whole lives in Britain, yet, perhaps unfortunately for them, never set foot on the Channel Islands. However there is so much for people to do and see on Jersey, Guernsey and their smaller neighbours, Alderney, Herm and Sark.

It's Grand on Jersey

With flights taking less than an hour from the UK mainland, a short break in Jersey is the perfect getaway this spring or summer. On this sunshine isle, you and your family can explore beaches named in French, sample true "cafe culture" or shop 'til you drop, paying in pounds and pence rather than euros.

Situated in what can arguably be described as the best location in Jersey overlooking St Aubins Bay, Grand Jersey is one of the finest hotels on the island. With a choice of spectacular sea view suites, the island's only private cinema, a destination champagne bar and a number of exclusive dining and drinking options, the hotel is also home to the 2010 Professional Beauty UK Residential Spa of Year. Featuring six state of the art treatment rooms, high tech gymnasium, spa bath, steam room, sauna, experience showers, heated indoor swimming pool and a heavenly relaxation room. Grand Jersey's Spa is also the only ESPA spa ever to launch in the Channel Islands, and all hotel guests have complimentary use of the spa facilities, regardless of whether they book a treatment.

As Spring has finally arrived and to help celebrate the prestigious Professional Beauty Award win, the Grand Jersey is offering a special "Short Luxury Break" from just £199 person, which includes two nights' in a superior room, a glass of champagne on arrival, Group A car hire for the duration of your stay, dinner in Victoria's Brasserie each night, and use of the Spa facilities for the duration of your stay. Guernsey - the "Green Isle"

Just 70 miles from the British coast and 30 miles from France, Jersey's twin neighbour Guernsey is also a distinctive mix of French and British cultures, where breathtaking cliff-top walks and unique heritage attractions sit side-by-side with fine dining and quality accommodation. "Guernsey" is thought to derive from the Norse "Grenezay" or Green Isle, and covers about 25 square miles, with twenty bays and beaches, wooded valleys, spectacular cliffs, marshland and rolling countryside.

St Peter Port, the island's capital, has a busy fishing harbour and bustling shops, cafes and restaurants, and with the island also being a VAT and Euro-free zone, it's certainly an attractive haven just a short hop from the UK mainland.
On the outskirts of St Peter Port, the iconic St Pierre Park Hotel has just been awarded a 4-star rating by Visit Guernsey and is a popular venue for a short break or longer holiday. Set in beautiful parkland, woodland and lakes, and boasting an impressive indoor swimming pool, steam room, Jacuzzi, fully equipped gym, as well as outdoor activities including a 9-hole par-3 golf course, 3 tennis courts, Trim Trail, crazy golf and a children's play area.

Escapes to Guernsey are easy, with budget flights from a 10 UK airports, and three ferry routes from the south coast. Three-night "Guernsey Escape" breaks at the St Pierre Park this Spring and Summer cost from £327 per couple, including evening meals, and there are substantial discounts for children sharing their parents' room. The hotel also offers a two-night Golf & Leisure Break from £195 per couple, a two-night Celebration Break from £198 per couple, and a two-night Spa Break from £130 per person.
