Parentline Plus, the national parent and family support organisation, has appointed Peter Woods to the position of Director of Local Services and Commissioning.
Peter will be joining Parentline Plus on May 4th to head up the Local Services and Commissioning Division.
An ex-Chief Police Officer with over 30 years extensive experience of social care, both nationally and internationally; Peter will strategically lead on all aspects of Local Services throughout the organisation to ensure that Parentline Plus's mission of supporting families is delivered and that our local services grow and expand.
Peter's first task will to be develop Parentline Plus' local services strategy, building and developing the strong local work that Parentline Plus already delivers.
Jeremy Todd, Parentline Plus Chief Executive said:
"I am delighted to appoint Peter to the post of Director of Local Services and Commissioning. Peter has experience of both securing funding in the social care sector but, also that of the health and criminal justice field. This is an exciting opportunity for Parentline Plus to both consolidate the local service works that it currently undertakes, but also to consider what new areas Parentline Plus will be able to deliver in."
The appointment of Peter comes at a time when the organisation has seen an increase in the number of parents and adult carers contacting the charity through its telephone, online and email support services. However, Parentline Plus's local services are less well known, but an increasingly intergral offer to our services to families.
